Isadora Moon Makes Winter Magic is Out Today!
Today is publication day for the eighth Isadora Moon book, Isadora Moon Makes Winter Magic! This one is a little bit different, and very special. Firstly, it’s a hardback gift-book edition, so it’s a little bit thicker and taller than the other books. Secondly, it’s got silver-foiled edges that glint in the light. Thirdly, it’s packed with extra content after the main story. You can make your own raspberry ice lollies, snowflake biscuits and a snow globe, among other things.
Winter Magic Colouring Sheets
To celebrate the launch, I’ve put together a few new downloadable activity sheets on my resources page. First up are two new colouring sheets featuring artwork from the book:
In the first colouring sheet, we see Isadora Moon and Snow Boy playing in Isadora’s bedroom. Who is Snow Boy? You’ll have to read the story to find out, but perhaps the cover gives a bit of a clue! It looks like Pink Rabbit’s got a new friend as well… You’ll also notice that they’re playing with Isadora’s amazing dolls house castle. Isadora loves miniatures, just like me!
In the second colouring sheet, Isadora and friends are enjoying hot chocolate with squirty cream and marshmallows. It’s the most delicious way to warm up on a cold winter’s day, and there’s even a recipe to make your own tingly-toes hot chocolate at the end of the book!
Isadora Moon Mini Winter Magic Books
I’ve also made two new mini books that you can print out and make yourself:
You might remember the two I made before. Did I mention that I love miniature things? My ambition is to keep making these so that eventually you could have a whole bookshelf of tiny Isadora Moon books. I just love the way they look all together!
Just like before there is a book for you and a friendship book to make and give away. You can see a peek inside the book for you to keep here:
Winter Magic Events
To help promote the book I’ve got plenty of events in various places coming up. Over October and November I’ll be visiting Dublin, Manchester, Stockport, Abingdon and Stockton-on-Tees (and possibly some other places!). You can always see my latest upcoming events with ticket details on my events page and on my facebook page.
My two most imminent upcoming events are this weekend, though, when I’ll be debuting Isadora Moon Makes Winter Magic at the Hitchin Children’s Book Festival on Saturday 8th September:
I believe there are still a few tickets available on the British Schools Museum website. You can see what last year’s inaugural HCBF was like on my blog here.
Then on Sunday I’ll be heading to Herne Hill in London for an Isadora Moon Party at Tales on Moon Lane independent Children’s Bookshop. I think there are still a couple of tickets available if you want to come along.
If you can’t make it to either of those events, then maybe you’ll be able to come to one of my others. And if not, hopefully you’ll just be able to enjoy this latest Isadora Moon story!
Love, magic and sparkle,
Harriet x
