Victoria Stitch and Celestine’s 3D Bedroom Scene

One thing I really love doing is creating scenes and rooms from my books in 3D. I love to be able to see the vision of what I have in my head appear in real life in front of me. I made a 3D model kitchen all in black and pink for Isadora Moon (which I love to take to events) and I have also done similar for my Victoria Stitch books! I had so much fun creating Victoria Stitch’s bedroom in miniature and because Victoria Stitch IS a miniature character, it felt even more real!

I made the dressing table, bed and stool from black cardboard and stuck lots of gems on them in iridescent purples and greens which is very Victoria Stitch! The lamp is made from a faux flower which I edited quite a lot and then stuck a tiny light inside so that it glowed. A lot of things on the dressing table, like the little perfume bottles, are made from beads and sequins!

There is also a tulle dress hanging up by the bed and I commissioned a sparkling crown to be made by my favourite miniature jeweller, Nalladris, and it was an exciting day when my daughter and I headed off to London to the Kensington Dollshouse festival to go and pick it up! It’s sooo sparkling!

I love my miniature Victoria Stitch bedroom! I did also make a model of Celestine’s bedroom too but, in all honesty, I am not one-hundred percent happy with Celestine’s room and would like to redo it one day. I think she would have more multicoloured gems in there and less pink! But I was very pleased with the golden starry dress I managed to create as it’s exactly how I imagine the one to be that she wears to the graduation ball in the first book, Victoria Stitch: Bad and Glittering!

And of course I had to make some life-size models of Victoria Stitch and Celestine to go in their rooms! They are both 4.5 inches tall! Here’s a picture of me with Victoria Stitch, so you can see how small a wiskling is compared to a human:

And lastly, the illustration of Victoria Stitch’s bedroom in Victoria Stitch: Bad and Glittering, which is what I based my 3D model off:

I hope you enjoyed seeing some of my miniature models!
