A Very Special Launch Party
To celebrate the launch of her brand new series for 7-9 year-olds, The Diary of Wiska Wildflower, Harriet Muncaster is hosting a special one-off launch party in her home town of Hitchin, Hertfordshire.
The party will take place at Hitchin Town Hall on Saturday, 27th September 2025 from 1.30pm until 3pm. The event will include a draw-along and other craft activities, the chance to meet Harriet and have your new copy of The Diary of Wiska Wildflower – The New School signed, and fun photo opportunities as you recreate the cover image of Wiska flying on her bloom.
Wiskling Fancy Dress
Wiska Wildflower is a wiskling, and you are very much encouraged to come dressed as a wiskling!
Wisklings have black-tipped noses, super-long eyelashes, pointed ears and antennae that can sparkle different colours. They can fly through the air on flowers (called ‘blooms’) or surf through the air on leaves. Wisklings love dressing up in fancy outfits that are sometimes inspired by flowers and leaves and often include lots of gems and sparkle.

Ticket Options
Children’s tickets cost £16 and include entry to the Diary of Wiska Wildflower launch party and a party bag containing one signed copy of ‘The Diary of Wiska Wildflower – The New School’ plus a small selection of Wiska Wildflower goodies* including a limited edition Wiska Wildflower notebook and a Wiska Wildflower biscuit**.
* Final goodies are subject to change, but are planned to include a notebook, postcard, stickers, themed biscuit, and certificate.
** Standard biscuit contains wheat and dairy, please add a note to the ‘order notes(optional)’ box at checkout to request a gluten-free and dairy-free biscuit, but please note that this option will be produced in a kitchen that handles wheat and dairy.
Adult tickets cost £6 and include entry to the Diary of Wiska Wildflower launch party. All children must be supervised by an adult who is responsible for them during the entire duration of the party.
Please note that every attendee requires a ticket. Any children aged 5-16 who wish to attend require a child’s ticket. Anyone attending who is under the age of 5 (including babies/infants) or over the age of 16 also requires a ticket, which can be either an adult’s or child’s ticket, due to the capacity limit of the venue.
As tickets are very limited for this exclusive event, please only purchase tickets for children/adults who want to attend the party, and try to avoid bringing additional family members where possible, as this may prevent a child who wants to attend from being able to get a ticket. If you are travelling as a family to Hitchin, there are many great attractions in the town, including the Hitchin Museum which is in the same Town Hall building as the party.
Waiting list – If tickets are sold out, there are a limited number of spaces on the waiting list. Please add a free ‘waiting list’ ticket to your basket and fill in your details at checkout. If any further tickets become available, customers on the waiting list will be contacted in the order they completed checkout for the waiting list tickets. Once the waiting list tickets are sold out, no one else will be added to the waiting list.
